Hnipp – Privacy policy

Effective Date: December 24, 2024 Last Updated: August 9, 2025

Hnipp (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of our users (“you” or “your”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application Hnipp (the “App”).

Information Collection and Use

Hnipp is designed to help you create and manage your own notifications. The App stores the content of the notifications you create on device, which is the text you enter into the app. This data is stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us. We do not collect or transmit this information.

Third-Party Data Collection

The app stores (Google Play and Apple App Store) may collect certain usage and performance data when you use the app. This data is governed by their respective privacy policies:

Through Google Play Console (Android) and App Store Connect (iOS), we may see aggregated analytics such as:

  • App performance data (e.g., crash reports, loading times, error logs)
  • Device information (e.g., operating system version, device model, screen size)
  • Installation and uninstallation counts

We use this information only to maintain and improve app performance, stability, and compatibility.

Data Sharing

We do not share any information stored within the App with any third parties because we do not have access to it.

Security

We take reasonable measures to safeguard the app from unauthorized access and use. Your data is stored in the operating system’s secure app-private storage, so other apps and users cannot access it under normal conditions. We do not transmit your data to our servers. However, no method of storage is completely secure. If your device is rooted, jailbroken, or if someone has physical access with specialized tools, this protection may not hold.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, or under the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction if it is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Any data entered into the app is stored locally on the device and is not accessible to us.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to the app, you can remove it by deleting the app data or uninstalling the app from the device.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
